CDC states that patients endure Covid-19 long-term disease
If you suffer from coronavirus weeks after a positive test, you are not alone.
Research has made it clear that people hospitalized with Covid-19 can have a long way from healing. However, a new study published by the US centers for disease control and prevention argues that even those who seek the treatment of hospitalized patients can suffer from long-term effects and prolonged symptoms for several weeks after a positive test. In other words, a surprising number of people are not "nursing" of Covid in the same way they make influenza.
It includes young adults
"Covid-19 can lead to prolonged disease, even in people with a softer outpatient disease, including young adults," the CDC wrote, report the amazing conclusion of theirMultiState Study Involving 292 people who have been positive tested for COVID-19.
Among them, 274 reported symptoms of highly infectious and potentially fatal virus. Although the majority recovered in a few weeks, more than a third (35%) stated that they were not returned to their usual health status 2-3 weeks after their initial test. Researchers also broke by age, believing that even younger, healthy people have suffered prolonged symptoms. This included 26% among 18-34 age, 32% among 35-49 years as well as 47% for persons over the age of 50.

Among the respondents who reported coughing, fatigue or shortness of breath at the time of trial, 43%, 35% and 29%, respectively, continued to experience these symptoms 2-3 weeks later. Overall, the most common symptoms are fatigue (71 percent), durable cough (61 percent) and headaches in progress (61 percent). Although fever and chills were more likely to solve quickly, others have proved to be persistent. Among the respondents who reported coughing, fatigue or shortness of breath at the time of trial, 43%, 35% and 29%, respectively, continued to experience these symptoms 2-3 weeks later.
"This report indicates that even in symptomatic adults tested in an ambulatory environment, it could take weeks for the resolution of symptoms and the return to health usually," the authors continued.
Preventive measures
The CDC ensured that "more than 90 percent of external consultations with the influenza recover in about two weeks" after a positive influenza test.
They emphasized the importance of their conclusions, adding that "effective public health messages targeting these groups," is justified. And of course, they also recommend preventative measures such as social distancing, frequent washing of hands and the correct and regular use of public coatings in public. As for you: to cross this pandemic to your healthier, do not miss these37 places you are most likely to catch coronavirus.
