The lightest and cleanest dessert ever

We use date syrup to create the caramel-shaped self-adhesive texture.

Inspired by the decadent flavors of a traditional sticky pudding, this popcorn is ideal for caramel corn lovers. Even better, it's clean with only natural sugar, making it a snack (or dessert) that you can enjoy guilt. The date syrup imitates the same rich, caramelized and sweet flavors of caramel while coating soft popcorn nuclei with a filthy shine and crack.

Pro tip: do several batches and give holiday gifts at the sweet house this season.

Made 2 servings

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1/2 cup of popcorn nuclei
1 Mug date syrup
1/4 TSP Vanilla extract
pinch of sea salt

How to do it

  1. Melt coconut oil in a large heavy pot on high medium heat.
  2. Once melted, add popcorn nuclei and cover the pot. Pop The Popcorn, shaking the pan from time to time so that the nuclei do not burn, as long as you hear 1 to 2 seconds between Pops. Transfer the popcorn into a large bowl.
  3. Immediately pour the date syrup and vanilla extract on the popcorn, add the salt and mix to combine. Let cool slightly before eating.
