While the reopinitions begin before there is a vaccine, security is paramount for anyone eating in restaurants. And because the KFC food often includes eating with your hands, it's hard to imagine that the chain would not have a hand sanitizer for the use of customers.

Plexiglas Barriers
KFC noted in hisCoronavirus statement Whether the chain is "Installing Counter-Top Plexiglas Shields that provide an additional barrier between team members and clients to reduce [the risk of contamination". So, if you order at the counter, there will be an additional layer of protection for you and KFC workers.

Many fast food restaurants have stopped letting customers get their own records as a precautionary remediation. Expect your beverage recharge at an employee's counter.
Employees wearing masks
Another security measure described on the KFC website is that the company provides facial masks for employees. Expect to see their use continue while the restaurant's restoration rooms reopen.

Employees verifying with thermometers
KFC "provides all restaurants with contactless thermometers and implementation procedures to spend each fever team member before starting their shift", according to the company's website. This will not affect your meal, but you can rest a little easier to know that the brand is trying to keep sick people at home.
Limited seats
Until there is a vaccine, it is unlikely that restaurants work at full capacity. This means that the tables next to yours could be empty (and there may not be room for you to sit as you eat if the restaurant is busy).
