I bought Olive Garden pasta pasta, here was what it was like

So many pasta-responsibilities.

The stakes were high. My adrenaline ran as I waited for the page. No, I do not have a harsh concert tickets to get or cheap international flight - I was trying to buy the collar of olive pasta.

Every year, a lucky part of the Americans to buy the credit card pulp card, the right to nine weeks ofPasta, soup, salad and breadboards in the olive garden. This year,The channel has sold 24,000 passes, as soon as they went on sale. (In fact, I only had myself, but my colleague Ann Marie had the chance to beat the computer and she did not want to buy one for herself.)

A week and a half in past pasta, I visited the olive garden twice so far, and I plan to enjoy many other pasta options before the remaining weeks. Here's what you should know if you plan to buy it next year, or just want to know why Pasta Pass sells so quickly.

Tip: There are so many manger to choose and mix.

What are pasta passing included?

Theoretically, an Olivier Garden Olive Pasta pass will give you endless bowls of pasta, as well as soup or salad and bread materials. But pasta portions are frankly massive and it's quite hard to eat your way to a second bowl, especially if you start the meal with a bread plan or two.

The endless pasta bowl menu is simple also, although there are more than 100 potential combinations.

You can order one of the following pasta:

  • Spaghetti
  • Whole grain linguine
  • Fettuccine
  • Angel's hair
  • Rigatoni
  • Cavatappi
  • Rottini gluten free

Then you can choose a sauce you want to go with pasta. The sauce options include:

  • Five Cheese Marinaraa
  • Traditional Marinara
  • Meat sauce
  • Alfredo
  • Creamy mushroom
  • Creamy roast garlic

To balance the meal, you can also choose vegetables or a meat-based protein trim:

  • Meatballs
  • Italian sausage
  • Crisp chicken fritta
  • Grilled chicken
  • Fritta crisp shrimp
  • Garden vegetables

If you have pasta pass (which is $ 100 plus tax), there are many possibilities to choose. If you do not have the passage of pasta, you can buy an endless pasta bowl for $ 10.99, but the garnishes will cost (most are around $ 4).

How does the pasta work?

Essentially, you can continue to order more pasta bowls (in various combinations of sauces and pasta styles) until you are afterated with capacity. For my first use of the pasta collar, I chose my favorite pasta style, Rigatoni, with marinara cheese and crisp chicken fritta.

It was a challenge for me to finish the last Rigatoni, but I seemed to see that I could see the difference in scale of the first course at the second. The bowl of initial pasta is greater than a dinner plate, while the second (and the third, and so on) portions of pasta are much smaller.

For my second course, I chose spaghetti with a creamy grilled garlic sauce. There were fewer pieces of crisp chicken in the second course, but it was still a lot of food for my lunch the next day. (A rating on the remains: the endless pasta bowl is dinner, but you can usually bring home the remaining part of your last bowl. If you bring your own Tupperware, make sure everything is clear for your server that You bring home your last course, without trying to handle the Pasta Pass system.)

How much smaller is the second bowl of pasta?

The portions of additional pasta passes are about half the size of the original bowl. But the good news is that they are not continually smaller over time.

I enlisted my husband to come and buy an endless pasta bowl, knowing that he had a better chance of reaching a third course than me. He commanded meatballs with each course and the three dishes came with two meatballs. The second and third plates were the same size, but he could not eat more than two.

Does the pastry pass worth it?

It depends on your practice to go to Olive Garden and how much do you like pasta. This is not the best pasta you never eat, and the sauces rest over the grease for the flavor than during seasonings and spices. But if you are just looking for affordable and easy meals, it's really worth it.

And Budget-Sage, if the endless pasta bowl costs $ 10.99 a visit, before the packs, you do not have to visit the chain several times to pay. The passage of pasta costs only $ 100 plus tax, so that would get more than paying if you visited the olive garden, even twice a week.

The collar of olive pasta does not give me the most gastronomic meals I have ever eaten, but I get the value of my money? Absoutely. Will I buy a pasta col Still next year? I will definitely try!
