High quality pizza chainGrimaldi, which has a culinary reputation for an authentic coal pizza, has just reported its first domestic franchisee that will accelerate its expansion in new American territories. Thanks to the new agreement, a strong southern state can expect to enjoy its first taste of New York's famous style tart, later this year.

The emblematic pizzeria currently operates 41 restaurants owned by side by side, but thanks to the Power Brands Hospitality Group (PBHG), its first national operational partner, the chain will now develop in Alabama in two locations. According toQSR magazine, PBHG will open its first location in Huntsville, with a location in Birmingham that arrives shortly after.

"Grimaldi is one of New York's new style pizzerias in the world and we are delighted to bring the brand accomplished in Huntsville and Birmingham in the near future," said Kumar Patel, Associate Director of PBHG. "Grimaldi's has focused on a superior culinary experience that integrates seamlessly into our existing restaurant portfolio and we are delighted that we have achieved this important step with all our partners, employees and stakeholders."

The brand is famous for hand-made pizzas, Calzones, antipasti, as well as salads and desserts. Its restaurants include open kitchen facilities, with signature wood burning ovens as center centers, offering a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for guests.
