This pizza dough is recalled to contain razor blades
A supermarket chain based in the newly notified Maine notified to the clients of malicious alterations.
Hannaford supermarkets have just expanded aPizza dough Remember because of certain products containing razor blades and other metal objects.
The chain of grocery based on Scarborough, Maine, has now doubled consumer warnings of all Portland Pie products being potentially altered with metal objects. On October 11, the supermarket announced that it had since removed all the products produced by the local craft pizza manufacturer of its shelves and attenuates the replenishment indefinitely. "Customers who bought Portland Pie Pizza Dough and Portland Pie Cheese sold in the Deli at any Hannaford store between August 1 and October 11 should not consume products and can return it to the store for a refund full" declares thereminder notice Posted on the Hannaford website. "Customers are invited to also check storage areas, including freezers for the product that could have been purchased and frozen during this period."
The FDA has not yet published the company's notice of reminder on its own site, but the agency has been alerted on "malicious alteration". Nevertheless, the Hannaford located in Sanford, Maine has not reported the incident in a timely manner (within 24 hours), according to the law. According toHeraldIn southern Portland, the first ratio of pizza dough containing razor blades or razor blade fragments occurred on August 14. Until additional information is discovered, customers should have Portland Pie products purchased since the beginning of August. To date, no injury or sickness has been linked to this reminder.
