The master behind the Italian every day keeps his breakfast near his roots.
Before rolling its classic Italian turkey meatballs and its ravioli with Fig and Gorgonzola, Laurenti Giada searches something simple for breakfast. For most of us, this would probably translate a bowl of cereals and milk. But for Giada, it's a bit more Mediterranean and much more salty.
"I'm brown rice, with olive oil and salt," she saysPopsugar. Although it looks like a nice flour A.M., the star of the food network justifies its morning envelopes. "I like a carbohydrate for breakfast and I like a tasty breakfast. If you start your day with sugar, you're alive for the rest of the day. I'm getting up early in the morning, then J 'Need carbohydrates. So I will do 1/4 cup brown rice, with hot olive oil and salt. At my restaurant, I make oats, olive oil, salt and almonds Marcona for the protein. "
We love that Giada wakes up both healthy carbohydrates and healthy cardiovers, but sinceThat's exactly how many protein you should eat for breakfast, almonds will not just do. We recommend adding scrambled eggs or even cottage cheese to mix if you try this Italian-inspired meal.
