What to know about Ceylon's tea

You have heard ofMatchta And the tea Chai, but did you hear about Ceylon's tea? While Ceylon tea is not something new (the first recordings of it being plantedDate of 1824), it has recently been trend among wellness enthusiasts. But what exactly is Ceylon's tea and what makes it so special?
To learn more about this type of specific tea and all its health benefits, we talked with two tea experts: Shalom Seidler, President and owner ofWissotzky tea, andTazo Master Tea Alex White.
What is Ceylon's tea, and where is it from?
Ceylan tea originated from Sri Lanka, who, before 1972, was called Ceylon. White says it's often considered one of the best black teas in the market, although Seidler says it, it can also be done with other tea leaves.
"The tea is produced with black tea leaves,green tea White leaves or third-party of the Camellia Sinensis plant, "says Seidler.
White emphasizes that Sri Lanka has a wide variety of orographic and climate conditions in the country. Its seven main tea growing areas include Nuwara Eliya, Uva, Kandy, Dimbula, Ruhuna, Uda Pussellawa and Sabaragamuwa.
"Each [zone] produces very distinct qualities and characteristics defined by factors such as altitude, soil conditions and precipitation," says White.
What are some of the benefits known for Ceylon's tea health?
Seidler says that the benefits of tea health Ceylon are relatively similar to teas from various other regions, including China and India.
"Researchers have studied green tea, black tea and other types of tea for decades and have tea consumption associated with positive results," says Seidler. "For example, tea often provides a boost in mental vigilance."

"Some studies have shown that catechins, found in Ceylon green tea, can have burning effects of calories," she says.
Ceylon tea is naturally containing caffeine, but the amount of caffeine it provides depends on the type of leaves that is brewed.
"If Ceylon's tea is made with green tea, it will have a modest amount of caffeine. Traditional green tea has about 35 milligrams of caffeine per cup," says Seidler.
Alternatively, if Ceylon's tea is made with black tea leaves, it will have between 50 and 90 milligrams of caffeine per cup. As a comparison, a cup of coffee containsAn average of 95 milligrams of caffeine.
"In addition, black and green tea contains both polyphenols, including catechins, flavonoids and tannins. Polyphenols are herbal chemicals that can offer health benefits," says Seidler.
Muhlstein also claims that the high antioxidant content in Ceylon tea can protect the skin from free radicals and even reduce the risk of cancer if it is regularly consumed.
"Ceylon is also a source of potassium, which can help reduce blood pressure and reduce the risk of developing renal calculations," she adds.
How do you properly do Ceylon tea?
Before growing Ceylon tea, make sure to identify the kind of tea that contains. Believe it or not, the temperature of the water plays a key role in the infusion of the perfect cut and extract its nutrients and flavors.
"Since Ceylon's green tea is softer and sweeter than black tea, it should be brewed in water that is cooled to about 75 degrees [Fahrenheit]."
Ceylon tea from black tea leaves must be brewed in water between 90 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit. He suggests brewing with her with fresh boiling water for three to five minutes. White says that, although there is a small production of white and green tea leaves in Sri Lanka, the type of tea Ceylon is more widely recognized and consumed is made with black tea leaves.
