If mezal is not part of your cocktail recipe list, you may be wondering what exactly (and how is it different from tequila). Unlike tequila, which must be manufactured in the city of Tequila in Mexico and 100% blue agave, mezcal has a little healing room with its origin and ingredients. Mezcal can be manufactured anywhere in Mexico and can be made from 28 different varieties of agave. The two Mexican minds come from the agave plant, but offer their own distinct tastes.

Of course, you can always go to your local bar to try a mezal cocktail. But if you want yourself a barman at home, you can also easily go up these mezcal cocktail recipes at home.

Ingredients
Lime juice 1 oz
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 ozVentura Spirits Spirit of opuntia barbarie pear
1 1/2 oz mezal
1 cucumber wheel, in quarters
4 sheets of Cilantro
Salt and pepper

How to do it
Combine lime juice, syrup, barbarism spirit, mezcal, cucumber and cilantro in a shaker. Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds. Pour into a glass of rocks. Garnish with a slight pinch of salt and pepper.

Lauren Noel, the lead bartender toWatershed kitchen + bar In Columbus, in Ohio, describes the flavors of this mezal tribute. "Roast to Pepita and Tart Cherry Mezcal, Agave, Mole Bitters and Sautéed Grapefousse Amer combine and bring traditional metering elements with salt, dried citrus and chocolate notes," she says.

Often, Mezcal is served with a small botana or a dusted snack of a salty blend. This drink helps expose the profile of the flavor of mezcal infusion and takes a notch.

2 oz peptita roast and mezal tart infused cherry
1/4 oz Agave Syrup
3 TERTIPS BITTERS
3 dashes Bitters sautéed grapefruit
Dehydrated lime, for filling

How to do it
Combine mezal syrup, agave syrup, molar bitters and grapefruit bitters in a mixing glass and a double strain in a snifter. Garnish with dehydrated lime.

The green machine

1 1/2 OZ Union Uno Mezcal
1/2 ozGreenbar Ginger Liquour
Lemon juice 1/2 oz
Fresh English peas juice from 1/2 oz
Agave syrup 1/2 oz

How to do it
Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and a mixture. Breaten in a glass and serve.

Foolishness

Sarah Meade, owner ofHere and now In Los Angeles, serves this beverage shaken in a glass of height. The Mezcal has a tasting of roasted pineapple notes and is soft, which makes it well adapted to this light cocktail.

1 1/4 oz Dill-Infused Mezcal
1/2 ozPimms
1/2 ozLO-FI GENTIAN AMARO
1/2 oz simple syrup
1 teaspoon of ginger syrup
Lemon juice 1/2 oz
Soda, to garnish
Dehydrated lemon wheel, for filling

How to do it
Combine the meters, pimms, amaro, both syrups and lemon juice in a mixed glass with ice. Suffer in a glass of collins with cubed ice and high with soda. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.

Natural child

The child of love is a mix of sweet and spicy, adapted toWrecked, a night spot of Gorbank Date. Ryan Smith, Regional Director of Castaway, combined strawberries, illegal Mezcal and Habanero petrol in this delicious mix. 2 oz illegal mezal
Luxardo liquor of 0.5 oz
0.5 oz Ancho Reyes Chile Ancho Original
0.5 oz strawberry mashed puree
0.5 oz simple syrup
Lime juice 0.5 oz
Seasoning Tajin rim with brown sugar, lime corner and fresh mint for filling

How to do it

  1. Rim glass with tajin and 50/50 brown sugar blend.
  2. Add 2 illegal mezal oz to mix glass, as well as the following: 2.5 oz Luxardo, 0.5 oz strawberry puree, 0.5 oz Simple Simper, 0.5-oz and 0 lightning juice, 5 Oz Ancho Reyes.
  3. Add to the mixing box and shake for about 15 seconds.
  4. Garnish with a lime and mint area and serve in a double old glass on the rocks.

2 tranches Jalapeño
2 oz Mezal union
Green juice 2 oz (recipe below)
Lemon juice dash
Simple syrup dash (optional, if green apples are super tatties)

1 green apple
1/3 stem of celery

How to do it
Make the green juice by pressing the ingredients through a juicer. In a mixture glass, mix the Jalapeño. Add the mezal, green juice, lemon juice and syrup. Shake all the ingredients together and serve in a glass with a spicy rim.
