A Caprese salad that tastes like Italy
This sweet and creamy salad brings all the fresh flavors to the Italian classic.
Classic tomatosalad From Capri, Italy, is a simplicity study: soft tomatoes and contrasting acids withCreamy mozzarella Slabs and bite based on bright plants of fresh basil, but with a complex taste you want. Why pay good money for such simple pleasure as you can go, only to leave a restaurant to screw it with cheap salon towers? Make this salad Caprese one of your summer salads. It's great for aperitifs or as a salad served with dinner.

Serve 4
You will need
4 Average tomatoes (preferably different colored legacy tomatoes. Whether rare Heirlooms or just a better steak, tomatoes are preferable farmers' markets. Look for a local market and run at the end of the day, when Sellers offer great offers.)
Fresh mozzarella of 6 oz
16 large fresh basil leaves
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Balsamic vinegar 1/2 c.
Black salt and pepper
How to do it
- Slice the tomatoes into thick slices (each tomato should give 4 or 5 tranches). Slice the cheese into slightly thinner discs. There should be an equal number of tomato slices and cheese.
- Place a tomato in the center of the small plate of salad.
- At the top with a slice of mozzarella and a single basil leaf. Repeat repetition until you used a quarter of tomatoes, cheese and basil (if you really want to nail this, salt and pepper each individual layer). If you use different color tomatoes, alternate slices.
- Repeat with the rest of the tomatoes, cheese and basil, making 4 turns of all.
- Water each turn with a little olive and balsamic and seasonal oil again with salt and pepper.
Eat
This salad probably is not worth doing in winter, when lifeless tomatoes are stolen from below the equator. Come summer, however, when local tomatoes are abundant, there is nothing better to eat. Each form and color offers different levels of sweetness and acidity, and simply sliced and salty, make for an incredible salad. In addition, the variations of the color add something extra special to your table on the tasting simply delicious.
