6 food companies packed with workers who have been positive for COVID-19

Kraft Macaroni & Wonder bread cheese, Covid-19 slowed the production of many beloved brands.


The United States now has more than1.2 million cases confirmed COVID-19. Some of those who have been disgusted by the virus work in the processing plants that produce some of your favorite packaged foods.

While the virus did not believetransmitted through the foodThese factories often use hundreds of employees, who all work close to each other. With large installations having even a handful of positive testing employees for COVID-19, it is imperative to take the necessary steps to completely clean and disinfect the surroundings.

Some companies have excelled to impose two-week decisions by two weeks, while others have only shutdown production for one or two days. It is likely that some of these companies are hesitant to close longer in fear of significantly reducing production. This is a difficult call to do for sure, but the health and safety of their employees should above all.

Here are five popular packaged food companies whose workers (at some point in the pandemic) have been tested positive for COVID-19. And to keep you informed, take note of these other food companies, including meat suppliers -who had positive tested workers for coronaviruses.

Kraft Heinz Co.

On April 15, an employee of Kraft Heinz Instally inLowville, New York Positive tested for Covid-19, just a few days before two employees of the factory ofHolland, Michigan Positive tested. Three others were invited to yourself in quarantine as they thought they were contracted. Obviously, management at the location of Michigan had been slow to provide personal protective gear for their 240 employees.

Nevertheless, the plant has only been closed for a day for deep cleaning, then reopened on Monday, April 20th. Before these cases, another employee had been tested positive at the end of March at the company factorySpringfield, Missouri. This installation took over the production after only two days of being stopped.

Pepperidge farm

In early April, five of the 900 employees of the Pepperidge Farm Bakery inDenver, Colorado had been positive tested for Covid-19, all askedquarantine for 14 days up to 14 days. The company has always provided these workers paying during their absence from the plant, which temporarily closed for deep cleaning.

Conagra Brand, Inc.

According toThe Wall Street newspaper, 20 of the 700 employees in a Conagra installation in the Missouri that makes chicken pies and othersFrozen meal Positive tested. However, Conagra closed his plant for 10 days, as of April 17.

The wonderful bread manufacturers and nature aim to close its cooking plant in Tucker, Georgia for a few weeks after several workers have contracted the virus. The companydid not disclose Just how many 255 workers have fallen sick.

Abimar, whose brands include Lil Nutch Hed and Tru-Blu, closed with its facilitiesAbilene, Texas In mid-April after 48 positive tested employees for COVID-19.

Although home residence mandates had a significant influence on the soup selling Campbell Co. in March and April, due to the closure of manufacturing plants due to coronavirus epidemics (six cases reported to their snackDenver, PAand two inMAXTON, NC), this popular pacred food company is having to play catch-up. The company has trouble responding to the demand for grocery procurement during the current quarter, but it still hopes that companies are picking up soon.
