While the cooktop is traditionally the way people cook rice at home, it's not exactly the simplest method. To cook rice on the hob, you must bring everything to a boil, then cover and simmer. So, if we had to choose, the rice on the cook plate would not be my go-to.
How to cook rice on the hob:
- Place 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of butter in a medium size pot.
- Turn the range over medium heat and bring the water to a boil.
- Once boiling, turn water down and cover. Cook for 15 minutes.
- Turn the stove and go with a fork.

Second place: microwave
Surprisingly enough, cooking rice in themicrowave was actually a breeze. Although it may seem like something that would work, you can easily cook rice in a large bowl for the same time as you cook rice on the hob. In addition, the texture of this rice isperfect.If we had to choose which rice would be the most fluffy on their part, the microwave would be at the top. But in terms ofeasierCooking method, the microwave is not the best way to cook rice.
How to cook rice in the microwave:
- Place 1 cup of rice 2 1/4 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of butter in a large glass mixture.
- Place it in the microwave and cook up for 10 minutes.
- Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula.
- Cook for another 5 minutes on High.
- Fluff with a fork.
First place: Instant pot
