Eggs may not be related to heart disease

An analysis shows that eggs may not be strongly correlated with heart disease that we have previously thought.


How many times have you heard that eatingeggs Will your cholesterol increase and therefore increase your chances of developing cardiac disease? Well, and if we told you it's not necessarily true. New research suggests that eating a certain amount of eggs per week is not linked to an increased risk of heart disease.

The report, published inThe American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, analyzed the conclusions of three multinational studies, all combined followed a total of 177,000 people of different income levels in 50 countries. The community of the results of the three studies was that the consumption of moderate egg (or the consumption of an egg per day) did not increase the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. "In addition, no association has been found between egg admission and blood cholesterol, its components or other risk factors," saidMahshid Dehghan, Ph.D., an investigator at the Institute of Research on the Health of the Population. "These results are robust and largely applicable to healthy people and those with vascular disease."

In other words, if you wanted to eat seven eggs every week, it will not affect your risk of developing cardiac disease more than someone who does not eat eggs. So why do some studies suggest that it is better to limit consumption to three eggs a week? Salim Yusuf, the senior study investigator and sentence director, said that the pools of people examined in these old studies were probably insufficient in size and diversity.

"This is because most of these studies were relatively small or moderate and did not include people from a large number of countries," he said.

Essentially, you should not worry about eating two eggs for breakfast in three or maybe even four days of the week.
