More evidence than conscious consumption is the key to weight loss
Long disappeared are the days of quiet meal. We live in a world where no one thinks twice to eat a sandwich while walking on the street or nouching fries while driving on the highway - and these are our weight loss efforts, new research suggest.
Diet people who eat on the race can increase their food consumption later in the day, which can lead to weight gain and obesity, according to aJournal of Health Psychology to study. To reach this conclusion, researchers divided a group of 60 women into three "distracted" groups. A group has eaten a cereal bar while walking, while other groups nostered on the same snack whilewatch television or conversing with another participant in the study. Shortly after, all participants were offered chips, chocolate, carrots and grapes. Women who eaten by walking more calories consumed in the snack - and about five times more chocolate - than participants from other groups.
Although researchers are not certain as to why it happened, they mortgage that people who dine on the race may not be fully aware of what they ate. They could also feel right for more food because they were active earlier in the day - even if they did not burn many calories.
