This food delivery service can now bring you a COVID-19 test
You can now order a cheeseburger and a COVID test using the same application.
What do you order most often from the Doordash application? Maybe it's your order toMcDonalds or your favorite cookie from theLocal bakery in the street. How about a Covid-19 test to go with this cheeseburger and fries? The food delivery service will offer soonCoronavirus test kits on demand for American households.
Doordash recently announced new partnerships with two leading digital health companies,Health vault andElongation, which will allow the delivery service ofBring PCR's FDA EUA Covid-9 home collection kits to people using the application in several cities. To begin with, 12 of the Dashmart places of Doordash in the big cities, including Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver and Phoenix, will provide the tests. The best part? When you are going to put in your order, you can expect the test to get in less than an hour. Imagine not having to call your doctor, your local urgent care or your pharmacy to see if they can squeeze you for a test! All you do is to complete the Salouse Sample (Health De Vault) or Nasal Swub (Everlywell) and drop it into the mail inside a prepaid night shipping envelope.

The Everlywell Covid-19 DTC Home Covid-19 Collection Kit costs $ 109 for delivery the same day on Doordash and includes a free telehealth consultation with a doctor. The Salive Vault Health Covid-19 test is slightly more expensive at $ 119, but both tests can be eligible for reimbursement of your health care insurance.
Available in 20 main cities, the vault health test will be a bit more accessible thanks to its website powered by Doordash Drive. Known as the "last mile" firefill, patients who choose this route on the command directly via the Doordash applicationwill get their test delivered the same day and will receive results within 48 hours.
