Turkey Sloppy Joe Recipe

Serve 4

You will need

1/2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 big onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 lb lean chopped turkey
1 1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 c tomato paste
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 C pepper powder
10-12 TABASCO Shakes or other pungent sauce
Black salt and pepper
4 whole wheat or sesame rollers, split and grilled

How to do it

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan or saucepan brown over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion pepper and bell and cook for about 2 minutes, until tender.
  3. Add the turkey and cook, using a wooden spoon to break the meat, until the turkey is slightly golden.
  4. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and pungent sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Turn down the heat at low. Simmer for 10 minutes, until the liquid has reduced and the sauce fully coats the meat.
  6. Divide the mixture between the rollers.

Eat

Lean fake thread or floor work chicken on the ground as well here as Turkey. As crazy as it may seem, some finely chopped catfish work nets and as an even healthier alternative, and it is quite delicious, too. In addition, it is an ideal way to sneak a little fish in your diet.

No matter what meat you choose, this delicious recipe will be just as sloppy as the classic version, we must not forget to store on the towels!
