It was undoubtedly the case for the Canadian couple Ron and Natalie Trecroce, who, in 1997, concluded that they wanted to bring a child at home. Their research led them to Arad, in Romania, where they met and were in love with the girl of one year, named Rodica Lavinia Farcas. Rodica had health problems, which sent Ron and Natalie during a trip to find answers on his past - and that's when they made a shocking discovery.

They traveled all the way from Romania
In 1997, the couple-species to find the perfect fit for their small family conveyed to Arad, in Romania, a city located on the Mures River in the western part of the country. That's where they met Rodica Lavinia Farcas for the first time. She was only one, but she had already passed an enigmatic past.

But she was not good ...
Although it was only a small toddler at the age of one child, Rodica was critically malnutrée. She suffered from Rachiis and had weak bones of a lack of vitamin D. It was rather obvious that she needed immediate help.

But the sad reality was, cases like Rodica were not uncommon in Romania in the 1990s. The country was under the command of the famous dictator named Nicolae Ceauşescu, who prohibited contraception of all types throughout the country - with Catastrophic consequences.
Some are even dead from famine ...
With the overflowing abundance of the poor in the country at the time, it meant that many couples have designed children that they could not afford, and they were forced to abandon them. The lucky people ended up orphanages. The least fortunate died of famine or have been abandoned ...
Questions from his mysterious past
This development in the country has led to Rodica to be deposited in the orphanage in the first place? Perhaps his mother could not provide the necessary care to take care of his newborn? The questions have dominated this innocent past of Toddler, and Natalie and Ron have crossed answers.
Determined to know more
Ron and Natalie wanted to know all they could possibly know about the unfortunate past of their new daughter. The problem was that it was also particularly difficult to obtain documents of any type of orphans in Romania at that time. And so, the investigation started!
They clung on everything they could find
Natalie and Ron are seized with every little data they could find on Rodica. But without the ease of the Internet like today, there was not much to find. Then, the couple occurred on the genealogical tree of Rodica - and they found that the biological mother of the girl had actually given more than one child.
She had actually a brother's brother!
In fact, somewhere there, Rodica had actually a older brother! And a sister no less! Quite curiously, this sister had been sent to an entirely different orphanage. From there, Ron and Natalie knew they also had to find the other child.
They wanted to find it too
As the proverb says, plus the merry, and Natalie and Ron must be firm believers! From the moment they acquired the knowledge of Rodica's sister, they were resolved to find it and adopt too.
They became a family of four
In-depth research has finally led Ron and Natalie at the older sister of Rodica, Gianina. They were shocked at the resemblance between the sisters - they could have been sold in twins! Without hesitation of a moment, the couple has adopted it too, formally the screamers a family of four.
Another surprising discovery!
Fortunately, go home in Canada with two new girls babies, Ron and Natalie have made a new unexpected discovery on the family tree of young girls: they had six other brothers and sisters! But obviously, they did not plan to adopt them too ... no?
But they could not be found
Ron and Natalie drained their means while trying to find these six other brothers and sisters, but without the help of a paper trail of Romania, it was hopeless. These brothers and sisters always remain a mystery to this day, but maybe it was better for the two children would have been a bit!

Even if they could not follow the rest of the brothers and sisters, Ron and Natalie were always happy to finish their dream. They were baptized with new names too: Gianina became Sophie and Rodica was now Danielle. But something did not feel about the change if ...
They wanted them to retain their heritage
Taking two little girls from their country of origin, then erase all signs of their heritage and culture was not what Ron and Natalie intended. To mark the history and heritage of girls, they transformed the birth names of Sophie and Danielle into the new names of the girls.
A unique story
Sophie and the story of Danielle have often attracted a lot of intrigues. How often do you intend to talk about a pair of parents of hope at mid-way to the world to adopt a pair of separate sisters since birth? In fact, a documentary filmmaker who came to know their story decided to make a film about it (although it was lost from time to time).

Years later, in adulthood, when Sophie looked at the movie, she decided to make a shorter version to share on the internet. She edited the full movie in her shorter counterpart, she downloaded on YouTube (although she was divided), where she reached a huge amount of views.
Sophie's inspiration
The success of the published video inspired Sophie a lot. So so that she chose to continue photography. When the registration time at a university came around, she knew exactly what she wanted to say like her major!
She wanted to visit Romania
The documentary also inspired Sophie to learn more about her and past her sister. She planned a trip to travel to Romania. And although she would have hoped to find her mother of birth, she did not rely on it. Find appropriate documents was always rare, even after all these years.
Pursue one's baccalaureate
As for Danielle, she plans to join her sister during her trip to Romania in 2018. In the meantime, she intends to study for her bachelor's degree. And if that was not enough, she still lives near her brother.
Go to long lengths
When Ron and Natalie had stole from Romania in the hope of adopting a child, they did not know they returned home with another! But for sure they wanted a family, and they went to much to make it possible.
A happy ending!
It was a good thing that Ron and Natalie had the strong constitution to resist all the trials and afflictions that came upon the creation of a family. Especially because they had to go through the process of adopting their two adorable girls. But they were surely happy that they did it!
