When animals are born with disability, a common method is practiced. These animals are often euthanized right away. And it's a shame because these animals sometimes lack the chance to prove their ability. These animals sometimes never have the opportunity to prove that they can also prosper in life. These animals have in fact right like other "normal" animals to live their lives. Take the case of this dog. When Lou Robinson met this little puppy born without arms, she did not abandon the dog. And in the end, something incredible took place ...
A handicapped puppy
We may have all seen a disabled animal born. Even though we can assume that these animals do not have the ability to live a normal life and being independent, there is a chance we sometimes have a mistake. Take the case of this pretty little puppy called Nubby. The poor puppy had a very difficult beginning in life. This puppy is born special, he came out without arms.
Not so shiny
And for an animal to be born in this way, life had to be a challenge just from the beginning. There were a lot of immediate complications that followed. This poor puppy was not even able to approach his mother to feed on his chest. And there was another problem. His brothers and sisters pushed him again. And over time, it did not seem brilliant for the young dog.
The choice
Since it was a difficult start to live for the poor puppy, it was such a pity to look at his struggle. And because of his disability, there was a veterinarian who suggested that Nubby would be better off if he was euthanized. And this decision came after the birth of the puppy. The veterinarian suggested that for the little puppy when he was only 4 hours.
A kind help
But there was something else that made his owner against this council. He was lucky that Lou Robinson examined this situation and decided that she would help Nubby. She wanted to make sure that Nubby did not receive too hard treatment just because he was born without arms. It was not exactly his choice or fault, he came out that way. Lou then took responsibility for the puppy.
Who is Lou Robinson?
And Lou was someone who had always been an animals help. She is really someone who loves animals all over her power! It is the kind of person who believes that animals should always have necessary treatment or attention. She was ready to help an animal in need. She was an important member of the emergency team in Houston, Texas
An animal group
Lou was not one to talk about animals and their need. She was someone whose words were followed by an action. She soon founded a group called Warrior educating on the rescue. And what does his group do exactly? Well, it's a group that informs people about the subject of animal care. They intended to help people with their questions about the best way to raise or elevate their animals or pets.
Not easy job
There is something we can all agree when we talk about animal breeding. It takes a lot of work and perseverance to bring up a healthy pet. And so you can simply imagine the type of work you would need to set up if you want to take care of a disabled animal. You could even say that it would be double the burden. Take care of a disabled pet would be hard work.
Team work
As we all know, most of the deadlines do not understand what is best for them. It is always necessary to be under surveillance and orientation. There is so much time and patience had to reveal a young animal. It would have been difficult for Lou handle Nubby alone. But it was lucky that Lou had her husband, Mark who also adored the puppy.
A grain of hope
Lou and Mark have always shared a love for animals. So when they took the puppy deactivated, they knew exactly what to do with him. The couple initiated the support of the bottle that nourishes the little puppy, because it was the only way to feed Nubby without getting them into his lungs and causing aspirating pneumonia.
Get better
The couple knew what they had registered for me for as well as it was a tedious job, they were up to it. As they have so much loved animals, it was not difficult for them to take care of small nubbés although it was a great fight. And even if it was an extremely difficult job, he showed signs of signs to improve as every day. It was clear that the couple was doing the right thing.
Some progress
And every day passed, it was obvious that the puppy improved. He was happy and so healthy as ever. "The third day came and went, the day seven, the day 10, the day 16 and Nubby thrive. He flourished! His eyes open, his ears have grown, he found his sounds, his feelings and his voice, "revealed Lou while she was talking about their precious handicapped puppy.
A half turn
As the alloyer was progressing in her life, it was so nice feeling for Lou and Marc as they wanted just for the puppy to have a future. His disability did not hinder his well-being. Lou and Mark worked very hard to make sure he was fine and it seemed good too. But unexpectedly something really bad happened. It was worse than the couple had anticipated ...
Unexpected
While the couple, although the puppy would improve better health, he quickly granted the way they did not expect. By the time Nubby became 3 weeks, his health started to be worse. He was not active and quite quickly he refused to use the bathroom and also had a constant sarying. It was clear that his health deteriorated, but what could they do?
Nose
Nubby did not appear signs to improve over time. There was another thing that was strange. It was something that the dog experienced. Set aside the fact that the dog was now always tired and did not use the Loo, there was another alarming thing he did. Nubby blew from milk in the form of a bubble that came from his nose!
Unfortunate news
After having seen that their little puppy suffered so much, Lou and Mark are obviously became very frightened and anxious. They became really worried and wanted nothing more than for the little Nubby to get better. They hated to see him be so low and out. And as they wanted the little puppy to find his health, they took the puppy to the veterinarian.
Another complication
And so, when they finally took Aubumby at the animal hospital, the news they were given were certainly not what they wanted or expected. The information that the veterinarian gave them was something that did not help their anxiety. It turned out that Nubby had an oesophageal anomaly. So now, he still had another health complication to add to his list.
The treatment
The poor puppy has now had another problem that obstinate him to live like a normal dog. He had an oesophageal anomaly that had to make his life a little more difficult. "He had a pocket form in his stroke which trampled his milk", revealed later to the investigators. Their poor puppy should learn to live with this handicap ...
Motionless
Since Little Nubby was not able to improve, he would need additional help. The anomaly discovered by veterinarians was not something he could help with. The poor puppy also had respiratory problems and needed an oxygen chamber. The hospital tried to treat his illness with the help of antibiotics.
A difficult fastese
The most remarkable thing about all this is that the little puppy was not abandoned on himself. He did not let his disability take the best of him. "He did not abandon. He was fighting and as long as he has a chance of quality of life, we will fight to give him this chance," revealed Lou later. He was indeed a fighter who did not want not let the chance to beat him.
Would it be surviving?
One thing about Nubby who shocked that everyone was that, although he suffered obviously and struggling a lot, he always gave a radiant glow, a positive spirit. He never allowed what others would consider a weakness hindered what he was capable of. And it was clear from what Lou and Mark saw, that the little puppy was a real warrior! Would he survive however?
Back home
And after spending time at the hospital, it was at last time that the puppy returns home. The hospital had done what they could to see that Nubby received all the treatments he needed. After all these treatments, Nubby was now going back to the house Lou and Mark. He will have to be nourished at home by the couple.
On his side
Even if Nubby was finally back home, since it was not completely recovered, the couple knew it was now their task. They should make sure that Little Nubby has received love and care to improve. Both were clear that they still had plenty of way until the handicapped puppy was in good health again. Lou and Mark have not lost hope and still waited for great results.
A very unclear future
Even if the hospital was not sure that the dog recovers or not, the couple hoped for the best and continued to be there for Nubby. They brought him home so he could receive care and attention that, hopefully, for the dog to find his health. And after two weeks spent, Nubby started showing signs to improve once again. Well, would it be?
Was he treatable?
Even for an ordinary fact to recover from the disease to such a tender age is difficult, the chances of Nubby were therefore thin. As he had all his other health complications, there was a certainty that there was never to live longer. His doctors always feared that his anomalies affect his daily life and they were not sure if they could be treated at all.
Ourselves once again
The case of Nubby was indeed very complicated and intriguing, as it was still going on despite the physician's predictions that he would not do it. It made the doctors even more curious to learn his anomalies. They proceeded to learn more and research the dog and soon the doctors felt that the anomaly would disappear with age.
A constant fight
And after waiting so long to see if their beloved puppy would get a future in life, the doctors finally gave them the assertion that Lou and Mark needed. They were happy to know that all their efforts and efforts did not go to waste. They were ecstatic to learn about Nubby and hoped to have a very brilliant future. It was a struggle as constant for everyone ...
Prove
Nubby had to fight to live at the first moment he entered this world. He then had to fight to feed himself with his mother's milk because of his brothers and sisters. Then he was discovered that he had an oesophageal anomaly as if his missing forearm were not difficult enough. But this puppy turned out to all that you simply can not put a fighter ...
Just a little hope
Nubby was indeed something to proud of Lou and Mark. They were extremely happy to know that the little puppy who was almost resting with Euthanasia proved everyone wrong. They were happy to hear that people who assumed that his anomaly would be a burden was all wrong. Nubby had shown everyone that sometimes a little hope can go from the side.
A small trooper
It was so inspired just to see how Nubby tried to deal with his condition. With a help from Lou and Nubby, Nubby was able to move by making an army crawler. Nubby also push his face to get up at his rear feet. He looked essentially like a soldier who makes his training. He is an absolute fighter who refused to stop.
All that a normal dog can
In spite of not having his arms, this remarkable dog was able to do what most ordinary dogs do. After a difficulty of time to understand and a little help from Lou and Mark, Nubby is now more or less autonomous. He would be seen crawling, eating and drinking water by himself and sometimes played with Lou and Mark!
Harsh
And when questioned about the trip to raise a disabled, Lou admits that it has been so easy. Since it was a problem so difficult, there were so many times that the couple lost hope. However, the faith of Lou and Mark in Nubby has never been dead. They always hoped to improve. Lou even revealed that there were occasions in which Nubby looked angry because of the treatment.
Win
After spending a lot of time asking if their poor puppy would never reach adulthood, the moment was finally coming when there is in Nubby to grow. Nubby is all cultivated and seem to be content with life as he still lived with his loving Lou and his brand owners. He is alive and always ready for an adventure. He is a dog ready to approach the struggles of life and get out of winning.
Wheelchair
After learning to be comfortable with himself, Nubby was now able to move to crawl. And even his cherished parents were there to make sure their beloved dog received additional support. He still struggled to go up and down the stairs and they decided to help the Nubby. The couple offered the dog with a special wheelchair that allowed him to move on everything he wants.
"Life finds a way"
And so now, life was brighter than ever for the dog that everyone thought would never go over a few months. Lou had also revealed that Nubby seems to live his life and make the most of his time. He is a happy dog who guarantees that every minute has passed, leaving no space for regrets! "Life finds a way," added Lou to his statement.
A life lesson
Nubby remains now with Lou and Mark where he is always loved and supported. With the help of his special wheelchair, Nubby is able to move and walk wherever he wants. He had remained a fighter whom he came from day 1 and that every second of his time counts. We must all take a lesson in this incredible dog, attract the inspiration of its resilience and mind.
