One of these adventure enthusiasts was, believe it or not, a 66-year-old woman named Geraldine Largay. For hiking enthusiasts, this trail is one of the most breathtaking experiences in the world. However, it's not a comfortable trip at all. Unfavorable chances

The chances of surviving this hiking trail were not great, but for Geraldine or "Gerry" Largay, it was worth trying. Gerry was a pension nurse living in Tennesse. She loved the outdoors and has always been an adventure enthusiast, even at 66 years old. And in the spring of 2013, she was ready for her next adventure. After doing research for his next destination, Gerry was convinced that she had to hike the Appalachian Trail.

Married and happy

Gerry had been married to pleasure to her husband, George, for nearly 40 years now. They were high school cherries and Gerry had never known that the love of other man except George. But back in the day, Gerry had a fear; wedding. His parents never had a happy marriage to look to the head and she was afraid to follow their traces.

But early enough, George made Gerry realize that they are not his parents. So she can let go of fear and embrace happiness instead. His love for George was enough for Gerry to take the pace of faith. After their marriage, the couple became parents to a beautiful girl. Gerry had finally abandoned fear and kissed his little family as a source of his happiness.

Outdoor couple

As a young couple, Gerry and George were still outdoors, are frequently going on treks and hikes. However, it has not changed even as they grew up. In fact, after retiring, Gerry had more time traveling, which is why she was determined to follow the Appalachian Trail.
