After several months of interviews and research Otto finally received an offer to join the Star Star brewery as a manager. The company was one of the first major mechanized breweries of the state. This turned out to be his first step towards the scale of success and wealth.

Emma bentzen

Financially, the life of Otto was a struggle and romanticly, it was much worse until he met the woman he loved and who loved him deeply. His name was Emma Beentzen, a german who trusted Otto with his life. When he offered him to start a new life with him in America, she accepted immediately and came to the new country with her man. Unfortunately, this couple would not resist the test of time.

German couple moved to Texas in 1884 to search for better quality options. And from there, he learned everything about the brewing industry. As a result, huge doors of opportunities open before him. Some avenues gave him a better offer but he worked at Lone Star until he is an expert.
