Holidays 2020: the rediscovery of wonderful and uncrowded places

2020 will certainly be a memorable year! We will remember it as the year of the pandemic, of quarantine, but also the year in which it will appreciate (as never before) simple everyday life. And the holidays? Have you already thought about it?

2020 will certainly be a memorable year! We will remember it as the year of the pandemic, of quarantine, but also the year in which it will appreciate (as never before) simple everyday life. And the holidays? Have you already thought about it? Probably - a little for health issues, a little for economic issues - we will not make great overseas travel, but it will be the right year to rediscover the small paradises we have under the house! Enchanting, unique places that do not require great movements and, above all, uncrowded! Ready? Let's start!

Venosta Curon

Curon Venosta is located in the province of Bolzano, on the border with Austria and Switzerland. The bell tower emerging from Lake Resia dates back to 1355 and testifies to the presence of a village that has existed until a few decades ago and that is now completely submerged by the waters!

San Caprino Veronese - Madonna della Corona

The Sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona is located in an excavated recess in Monte Baldo, in the province of Verona, not far from Lake Garda. The church was inaugurated for the first time in 1530 and then becoming a sanctuary in 1625, when the Knights of the Order of Malta did re-needed it. Put comfortable shoes because you get only on foot to the sanctuary!

Dozza

Dozza is a medieval village that is located south of Bologna and not far from Imola, among the Bolognese hills. It is a real open-air museum. Or an open-air art gallery if you want. Walking through its streets will materialize more than a hundred contemporary works of art. You can visit the medieval fortress and enjoy wine and food of a famous territory all over the world.

Regello - Castle of Sammezzano

We are in Tuscany and precisely in Regello, about 30 minutes from Florence. The Castle of Sammezzano is a wonderful work, a Moorish castle with Arab-style artifacts that gives the visitor the impression of being a magical place. It is surrounded by about 180 hectares of park with plants and exotic vegetation. Its construction started back to 1605.

Montone - Perugia

Montone is the classic medieval village, perfectly preserved over the centuries. Small craft shops, city walls, extraordinary beauty, rich in art, in the heart ofHigh valley of the Tiber, not by chance also calledValley museum.

Bomarzo - Monsters Park

TheSacred Bosco of Bomarzo, best known asMonster Park, located in the heart of the Lazio Tuscia, in the province of Viterbo. It is a fantastic place, populated by stone monsters and mythological animals that affect fear and wonder to visitors from another five centuries!

Cala Goloritzè

An almost deserted beach on the east coast of Sardinia. Here the sea and the mountains meet in perfect harmony. Imagine yourself to sunbathe in this paradise this summer.

Irpinia

It is the right place to spend a few days off if you are passionate about wines, good food and wonderful landscapes. You can trek through the vineyards, on foot or by mountain bike, and stop in the numerous cellars of the territory. You can take horseback ride or simply relax and enjoy your breathtaking landscapes.

Tremiti Islands

The Tremiti Islands, off the Pugliese coast, are also calledDiomedèe islands, from the name of Diomede. The legend tells that the three islands, of which the archipelago is composed, were born when the hero is threw three stones in the sea taken away from Troia. Today I am one of the most beautiful and less crowded tourist destinations in Italy!

Saline of Mozia

The marvelous saline of Mozia are located on the coast that connects Trapani with Marsala, on the west coast of Sicily, in a territory to say the least, along the famousVia del Sale.
