Montages of fun and creative power by a Canadian artist

The quarantine lock is a good time to try a new hobby forgotten forgot. We all spent hours watching movies, scroll through Netflix, we're tired of going to Twitter-Instagram-YouTube-Facebook circles, and our injured thumbs up to the phone too long. It's time to eliminate multiple screens, go offline and try to enjoy something that requires a little more thought and a little less scrolling. Jigsaw Puzzles Sound Sound of Perfect right now. And if you want to do everyone you already have, try a new creative approach, like Tim Klein, a Canadian artist.

Tim found a unique approach to Jigsaw puzzles. It turns out that old pre-digital puzzles all use very similar patterns for their parts and, therefore, if you want you to mix and match them, even if they did not come from the same box.

He also prefers old vintage jigsaw puzzles because they tend to be less busy and, in most cases, just create a single object, while many new ones have been created with Photoshop and have very busy and complex drawings on them.

It takes these vintage puzzles with pictures of animals and objects and interpret them to create its own unique vision and create a new Jigsaw puzzle. In this way, it can add an animal to a puzzle that was previously a nice view of the city or a field of flowers. It can create mutant creatures if it wishes or manipulate the puzzle in a way where there is a cow driving a vehicle or a train powered by horslegs (get it? It's literally a power of horses).

Tim finds really fun to create these puzzle assemblies and discover something new in every vintage jigsaw puzzle box and imagine all possible ways he can combine images. Tim has awebsite where you can find out more about his art and he also has aFacebook page where you can follow it. His creative Jigsaw puzzles are sold as pieces of art and you can have one home if you wish, provided it's not exhausted. It's a bit difficult to make replicas because Tim needs source puzzles to recreate them and that they are vintage, they are not super easy to follow.

Tim also affirms that he was inspired to create the puzzle montages when he saw a magazine article in the 1980s where an art teacher made a montage of a king tut of cans of beer. And recently, he saw that the same art teacher was trying to recreate the piece of art for a gallery and was looking for a source puzzle. Miraculously, Tim had the source puzzle needed and could send it to the art teacher. It must participate in the recreation of a piece of art that inspired it to create its own puzzle mountains thirty years after having seen it and inspire. It's funny how things sometimes arrive decades of complete circle later.

Tim received special attention from several media recently and, thanks to this one, he sold many works of art. But it can not wait to create new ones or try to recreate fans' favorites for those who wish to buy them.
