Queen Elizabeth wears a lot of jewelry, and all this without exception seems absolutely beautiful and incredibly expensive. But did you know that, away from the big jewels, many of these necklaces have interesting stories behind them. Some have been telled by famous people, others have been specially made and for some of them, she even had to shorten them because they were too big for her small setting. Let's take a stripping track and look at magnificent necklaces that the queen likes to wear and explore the stories behind them, are we going?

1. The George VI Sapphire necklace is one of Elizabeth's favorite necklaces. He used to look a little different at the origin. There were 18 sapphire clusters. But the queen thought that shorter necklaces better complete her small frame, so she had four links removed and turned one of the biggest clusters into a pendant that can also be worn like a spindle. The photo you see is from a state banquet in Algeria in 1980.

2. This is the same necklace you saw on the first image but several years later. This time, the queen worn it with a blue dress and matching earrings, a bracelet and even a ring. This is quite unusual for Queen Elizabeth, since she does not like her hands and prefers not to draw attention to them. But she loved this necklace so much that she decided to comment on the bracelet and the corresponding ring. After all, this necklace was given by his father, it makes sense that she loves him so much.

3. This floral headband of rubies and diamond was given to the queen by his parents as a wedding gift. This beautiful necklace is silver and gold and has an abundance of rubies. Elizabeth loves this necklace and she wore it quite often when she was younger. She also shortened this one, removing two small flowers on the sides, making it sitting on her neck.

4. This incredible necklace is made from acute-marine stones and it was endowed by the Queen by the President of Brazil in 1953. The precious stones are placed in the platinum and the diamonds, which makes this necklace much more impressive. It was given to the queen with a set of matching earrings and a few years later in 1958, she was talented by a big spindle and a matching bracelet. The stones of the whole whole are so difficult to match that it took a year to find them all.

5. This scintillating necklace was presented at Princess Elizabeth in 1950 by his father and it was a favorite of his own since. It consists of 105 diamonds. She likes to wear this necklace and in this picture, she wears it to a concert with President Ronald Reagan in 1983.

6. This magnificent necklace was ordered from Queen Victoria for his golden jubilee in 1887. Originally, the jeweler Royal wanted to present it with a diamond badge, but then received the letter from Queen Victoria who has declared that she "would not want that at all." So, instead, they created this incredible necklace. He quickly became the most popular necklace of Queen Victoria and left him as a heritage of the crown in his will. Currently, the Queen likes to wear this necklace with a diamo Kokoshnik studded with diamond.

7. Did you know that the emeralds are the lucky stones of Queen Elizabeth? Well, it's not surprising that she loves this necklace then. The story of these emeralds is amazing. It all started in 1818 in Germany, when the Duchess de Cambridge, the Reins Grand Grand-Grandmother gave them in a lottery of the state. They could have been lost forever when his son died and left them to his mistress, but Queen Marie, the grandmother of the Queen bought them. The collar you see in the photo was ordered from Garrard in 1911 and it offers 9 emeralds and a diamond of 8.8 carats cut from the largest diamond ever found - the Cullinan diamond.

8. This necklace originally belonged to the mother of Queen Victoria, the Duchess of Kent. This is called Kent Amethysts and became owned by the Crown in 1901, after the death of Queen Victoria. The set consists of a necklace, three pins, a pair of earrings and hair combs. The Queen has never been seen carrying the combs and the collar was only spotted twice, which means that the queen is not a big fan of this set and does it only when it corresponds to a Violet hold.

9. You probably know that the queen loves pearls. His favorite triple strand pearl necklace was given by his father, George V, for his silver jubilee. The queen says she loves the pearls the most because they are elegant but modest and go with everything. She also likes to wear pearls on the day of her wedding and here you can see her wear a two-strand pearl necklace while photographed with her children.

10. This necklace is one of the most unusual pieces that Queen Elizabeth has. He first belonged to Queen Alexandra and was made by a jeweler of the Danish court for his marriage to the Prince of Wales. It originally contained 2000 diamonds and 118 pearls located in gold, a wood scarf of the real cross and a piece of silk of the King Canute tomb. But the queen did not care much for these historical pieces of wood and silk, so she eliminated them. This necklace became the property of the crown on the condition that it would never be altered. The current queen the door with parsimony because it's quite heavy and may seem a little strange on his small setting.
