6. Taxis
In the Western world, we generally only take taxis when we are in a hurry, but in Jakarta is the most common transport type. It is rare that expatriates drive here, and let's be real, it will be difficult, so everyone becomes taxis because they are ridiculously inexpensive and readily available. Many expatriates even lead personal drivers, which would be a luxury in the western world, but here it's just a normal thing to do if you have a stable income.


7. Nightlife
You will never bother in Indonesia. There is always a place to go and something interesting to see. There are many clubs and places of music, with bands that occur just about every day of the week. Famous international superstars often have concerts in Jakarta, so you will not miss if your favorite group is on tour. In Jakarta, you will always find an art show, a movie or a music festival to go, the cultural side of life here is booming.
