Evolution of eyebrows: barely there to thick and proud

The hairstyles, makeup appearances, specific colors and even forehead forms have also had a lot of ups and down over the years. Take a walk of walking memory and see what forms with eyebrows were popular when and what women have crossed to reach these looks.

If you have worked for a moment, you probably noticed that this mode has a very cyclical nature. Something that was crazy popular in the 1990s became absolutely revolting in 2000. But we are here in 2016, everyone is obsessed with the 90's. It's weird, especially for those who lived in the 90s. It's not just clothes however. The hairstyles, makeup appearances, specific colors and even forehead forms have also had a lot of ups and down over the years. Take a walk of walking memory and see what forms with eyebrows were popular when and what women have crossed to reach these looks.

1920
In the twenty American actress Clara Bow has created a huge trend of fashion with its unique form of eyebrow. Well, if you can even call these eyebrows. She picked her eyebrows near an extinction and designed them as thin lines extending before her eyes, to her temples. An interesting choice, right? In addition, the lines were swept at the end, making it constantly sad. We thought it was a madness now, but in the 1920s, everyone thought it was great and many tried to copy this aspect.

1930
In the thirties, super thin eyebrows were still very fashionable. However, this time it was Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich who established the trend. Greta's eyebrows were also picked to look extremely thin and a high ark was in pencil. Marlene Dietrich apparently gone the extra mile and instead of pick them, simply shaved completely and designed them above his forehead line. I wonder if the effect constantly shocked was the effect it was going.

1940
In the eyebrows of the 1940s, we were finally allowed to push a little. Lauren Bacall was quite famous at the time and his eyebrows were partly responsible for that. She had unique V-shaped eyebrows, which was new at the time. That, the more his heavy lids and his long eyelashes contributed to the fact that she had a nickname "the look". That women still seemed attractive.

1950
1950 was a good time for eyebrows. They were finally allowed to repulse fully. Audrey Hepburn was probably the greatest inspiration in the front in the 1950s. His full and bouffus eyebrows were the object of the desire of women. Everyone dreamed of having eyebrows like Audrey. Their shape has changed a little over the years, sometimes they would be completely straight, sometimes with a little arc, but they were always thick.

1960
The sixties were a strange time. It seemed like everyone just took a turn of 180 degrees and returned to thin eyebrows. Women returned to pick their eyebrows in thin lines and fill them with pencil liners. Think Mary As and Mia Farrow. Sophia Loren shaved his naturally full eyebrows and drew with tiny little pencil shots to imitate the real eyebrowers. The amount of effort that went is foolish, is not it?

1970's
The seventies were kind of everywhere. Women stopped cracking and attracting on their eyebrows and went for a more natural look. But their eyebrows still seemed very thin, because of all the picking that was done in the 60s. So here is a lesson for you, if you cook your eyebrows regularly for a long time - do not expect them to repel like a magic. That is going to take time.

1980
The eighties were all cudacious (not literally) and powerful eyebrows. Not only were they allowed to grow again, but they were then exaggerated with pencils or filled with dark eyelids. Madonna's eyebrows seemed darker and thicker than ever. Brooke Shields blew everybody with his bushy feathers eyebrows. If we had to name an eyebrow icon of the 80s, it was probably Brooke shields.

1990
And again, we see super thin, barely there in the 90s. Kate Moss sets the trend and everyone followed. Pamela Anderson Angled, Gwen Stefani took the eyebrow game a little further by accessoring his eyebrows with a small stick on gems. The 90s were once strange for eyebrows and fashion in general.

Modern day
And now we are back to thick and natural eyebrows. Thank you Cara Delevigne for brought back that. Remember how people first thought that his eyebrows were huge and almost ridiculous? Well, we all want us to develop our eyebrows to look like his. Everyone can not remove the eyebrows as big and bouffus as Cara, but we would like to try.
