Almost all girls at a time or the other have thought of becoming vegetarian. There are great motivations to do it - live longer and live healthier. Some are animal lovers and are therefore ethically opposed to the consumption of animals. Something is a way to lose weight and stay in shape. But there are more reasons for all of us to consider being vegetarian. Read them carefully and maybe it will encourage you to change your way of life.
1. To defend animals
This is the first and the main reason why people decide to become vegetarians. Think how many animals you can save. These animals suffer small cages and caisses. According to the US Department of Agriculture, 9.1 billion animals were slaughtered for food in 2011. Just think that your steak was done and maybe you will change your mind and start to to eat vegetables.
2. Less chances of heart disease
Red meats are high in saturated fats, so eating meat increases the risk of coronary heart disease. And vegetarians have a lower risk of cardiac events. There are many products in a vegetarian diet that keeps the sugar level in stable blood and helps reduce cholesterol levels: whole grains, legumes, nuts, potatoes, white rice, white flour products.
3. Reduce the risk of cancer
According to different studies, the many fruits and vegetables can reduce the risk of developing cancers, especially breast cancer. "Food with high levels of fat artificially increase hormones that promote cancer", depending on the non-profit group, the Cancer project. A diet with a large amount of fruit and vegetables has protective advantages.
4. You build strong bones
Our skeletons lose strength with time and we need to protect our bones. It's better to start when you're always young. Dairy products such as yogurt, cheese and lactose milk are a great way to take care of your bones and your teeth. But vegetarians have more nutrients needed to the body to absorb and use calcium. They get a dose of tofu calcium, soymilk, dry beans, broccoli, green turnsip, curly cabbage.
5. Losing weight
Each girl dreams of staying in shape. A vegetarian diet can help save calories and maintain a healthy weight over time. When you eat vegetables and fruits, you do not really need counting calories, measuring portions and you do not feel hungry so often.
6. A BLOOD MOOD
A vegetarian diet can make you feel less stressed and you will feel happier and more "balanced". Vegetarian products are high in arachidonic acid (AA) that affects the atmosphere. New studies have shown that vegetarians have lower implications of depression, mood problems and anxiety.
7. Go green
You may be surprised to know that being a vegetarian is a way to reduce pollution. But raising meat cattle spit more greenhouse gases in the air than cars on the road. The livestock industry is wreaking havoc on our land and pollutes waterways more than any other industry. It's a strong reason to think again to be a vegetarian.
